The Sun

Sokurov's style is undeniably striking, but I really didn't get into it. it's painfully slow and probbaly best to see in a theater than on home video.

Interstella 5555

in restrospect, Discovery was really a magnificient album, full of hits, and all comes even better in the wonderful anime version with Leiji Matsumoto.

Bug

Friedkin's return to form, with a completely bonkers film about deep paranoia, based on a play it feels like it, but Ashley Judd performance is quite extraordinary, and the whole thing mysterious and dark.

The Graduate

A true 60's classic, great story and great direction from Mike Nichols, very good.

Crime wave

A good classic film noir from Andre de Toth with Sterling Hayden chasing a bunch of criminals, set in LA, short and tight.

Decoy

A great little rare masterpiece from Monogram by some unknown director, with a classic flashback, a true femme fatale who is ready to kill for a pile of dough, Jean Gillie delivers a truely amazing performance.
